Glaucoma
Glaucoma is a disease that can damage the eye’s optic nerve and result in vision loss and blindness. It is one of the main causes of blindness in the United States. However, with early detection and treatment, you can often protect your eyes against serious vision loss. Therefore it is very important that it be diagnosed early.
The physicians at Dailey Harvey Eye Associates utilize specialized equipment, such as the optical coherence topography, automated visual field perimetry, and pachymetry, which are used to diagnose glaucoma and determine the appropriate treatment plan.
Dailey Harvey Eye Associates’ physicians treat glaucoma with topical medications and laser therapy (Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty). Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty is performed in the office setting and is used to treat glaucoma alone or in conjunction with topical medications.
